To Our Canadian Customers:
The following is a list of steps & items required in order to bring your new RV into Canada. We work with many customers from Canada and will provide you with all paperwork necessary to make the process smooth and easy!

Before you bring your RV into Canada:

1. Obtain the following items from the Cold Springs paperwork process:

Recall Clearance Letter - Recall clearance documents verify that any defects identified by the manufacturer as a potential safety risk to the vehicle's operator, occupants and public at large, have been corrected.
Purchase Order/Bill Of Sale - Must show both buyer and purchase amount.
Manufacturers Certificate of Origin (MCO)

2. Have Border Fees prepared.
All border fees are the responsibility of the RV buyer. Our Canadian customers will pay $195 + GST. Fees are paid to the Registrar of Imported Vehicles (RIV).

Taxes to be paid in addition to RIV Fee:
Import to Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland, Labrador: 5% GST AND 8% HST
Import to Quebec: GST + QST
Note: Canada Border Services Agency does not accept cash or checks for the RIV Fee.

Once your New RV Enters Canada:
You will have 45 days for vehicle inspection and to complete any modifications that are needed. Canadian Tire will perform all Federal Inspections as well as Provincial Inspections.

Cold Springs RV Payment Process:
Deposits
A minimum deposit of $1000 is required for RV purchase. Major Credit Cards are acceptable for deposits ONLY. All deposits are non-refundable.

Down Payments
If a down payment is required, it may be paid with a bank-issued cashier's check or wire transfer. Credit Cards are not accepted.

Final Balance
The remaining balance after any deposit and down payments must be paid prior to releasing the RV for pick-up or shipment. The final balance may be paid using the following methods ONLY:

Wire Transfer: Please allow Seven (7) business days for verification prior to pick-up/delivery date.
Cash or Cashier's Check: Canadian customers can pay by bank issued cashier's check (personal checks stamped certified will not be accepted). Your cashier's check must be presented for payment during normal business hours in order for Cold Springs RV to receive verification of funds from the issuing Canadian Bank. Cold Springs RV must have receipt of all funds verified prior to shipment of your RV.

Delivery:
If you would like your RV to be delivered to you, Cold Springs RV will meet you at the border crossing of your choice.
